First MHZ Trimax unit attached to hull

After a week of curing the 2 component lacquer and after Christmas I've had some time to one of the Trimax units to assemble. I'm going to celebrate New Year with my family and my parents. I wish all my readers a Happy New Year and a very nice powerboat year!

Hull at the paintshop

Today the hull went for the paintshop for the clear coating. Tomorrow we will pick it up from the shop. Coating has fully hardened after 7 days. After that I will attach the drives to the hull.

Some hardware arrived

Late in the Aftenoon FEDEX came with new parts for the MHZ138 hull. I ordered the twin Trimax drives with a left and right 1/4 inch flex cables. I also ordered the carbon motormounts which not will be installed until the 2 motors arrive. They'll be ordered in February.
This week I'll drill the holes for the Trimax drives before it goes to the painter on saturday for the clear coat.

Carbon layer

Since the last update I have put a layer of carbon cloth to the inside of the hull.

Hull stickered

I added the MHZ Aquamania stickers to the hull after I removed the polishwax to clean the hull from paintspray. Next week I start with a layer of carbon fabric to the innerhull to give it a "carbon" look.

After a week of sanding and repainting the painting job is done! Today, after 2 days of drying I applied a wax coat to remove the paintspray. Here is a picture with the waxcoat on it.

I cleaned the hull and prepared it for it the paint scheme. I ordered together with the MHZ138 hull the Aquamania decals. These are very high qualtiy vnyl decals. The first coat I applied was the silver color.
