Update 20 spetember

After a while of vacation, working I was able to do some work again on my MHZ138 cat. Second Hifei Swordfish pro has arrived along with Hifei Multi Functional Units. Everything is soldered and I made a mount for both the esc's.  Also the homemade servo-mount was placed. Next is the wait for a seperate receiver battery (2s 2000mah from LiFE battery from Hobbyking and a BEC unit).

I bought myself a new camera Fujifilm Finepix S HS50EXR for better pictures.

Servo mount made

After the last update several months ago, I have been busy with modifying the trimax (the shaft-ends has been reduced from 1/4 inch to 3/16 inch for smaller props) and making a servo mount for the XQ servo I ordered. Also I received the first of the two Hifei Swordfish Pro 300HV esc.
Today I will be mounting the servomount to the hull using epoxy. Next week I'll be starting making a mount for the esc's.

Rudder and hydraulics arrived

After the last update on my blog both the Proteus motors are installed except for the soldering. The rudder and the scale "hydraulics" arrived from MHZ. I mounted them today to the hull. Next step is to solder the wires in Y-shape for the motors.

First driveline finished

Today I glued the motounts in place and I cut and glued  the right flexahaft for the right drive. Next time I''ll do the counterdrive left driveline. I also have to order a high power soldering iron for the connectors.

Second motor arrived

Yesterday the second Proteus motor arrived with new couplers. The new collets will be used instead of the square drives I bought earlier from MHZ.  Now it is time to fit all in and to assemble the drivelines.

Motor arrived

The Trimax drives are both mounted to the hull and the first motor has arrived. The motor is HUGE. It is a Skyrc Protues 730KV motor. The motor will be powered by 12s lipo. Next month the second motor will be ordered and the teflon/brass  liner will be mounted. in the mean time. Also the square drives from MHZ have arrived but need to redrilled since they don't fit on the 8mm shaft of the motor.

First MHZ Trimax unit attached to hull

After a week of curing the 2 component lacquer and after Christmas I've had some time to one of the Trimax units to assemble. I'm going to celebrate New Year with my family and my parents. I wish all my readers a Happy New Year and a very nice powerboat year!
